The Link Up: Office Supplies, Food, Records and more...

You read right... Up top it says this is the Lunk-Up for Feb 18th, yet I just posted it. THAT'S how this week has been. Crazy full of work, mini breaks for sleeping and absolutely no socializing, blogging and having a life. But, no more. I was finally able to catch up on some past work and I will start having more time off [and a life] starting tomorrow. But, tonight... some inspiring links that have kept me sane:

• These iphone cases are the cutest things! I am all for instagram-ing while holding them.
• I seriously need to get my hands on these. Planters as necklaces? Yeah, signing up!
• The enrollment package for IIN, made me jump up and down like a mad woman. NO JOKE. 
• Which brings me to my endless need of office supplies! Colored pencils anyone?
• Um, why didn't anyone tell me that chocolate hazelnut butter exists? I just bought a 10 pack. 
• This post by 6 petals blog screams out my name. Exactly what I've been thinking of doing for my room.
• Yo Momma is so stupid, she thinks Pantone is a shampoo. Yep, Yo Momma jokes for graphic designers.
• Can I live in a windy city and wear this?
• CATWALK's new 7" is my new boyfriend. Oh, and the record cover [above]? Equally awesome.

Art & Function || 20 Hangers

Art and function come together beautifully in this piece by Alice Rosignoli. It's great for small spaces or even to leave as an art piece. I really love that fact that it's twenty hangers. Don't we all just rotate between our favorite pieces anyways?

VIDEO This video has been making it's rounds. But, it wasn't until I read this interview with producer Natasha Pincus that I grew an even greater apreciation. In the interview, she talks about how "The project brought together various professionals across several different media." and you all know how I am all IN for some creative collaboration. PHOTO I wish the source would say who the photographer is... Such a great lip bite, am I right? Oh, and not to state the obvious but it's Valentine's Day. [or chocolate's biggest paycheck] Even though I am not coupled up, I know most of you are. So have a great day filled with heart shaped pancakes!

To have an online wishlist and start making imaginary outfits with it. Awesome, I know. Just waiting for payday to pass by me so I can hit that checkout button. I can't wait to have this little clussster of joy in my closet. Oh, and did I mention this is all from Madwell? Color me obssesed!

Re-growing Green Onions

My name is Fi, and I am an onion-aholic. I have no idea how I went from disliking them, to adding any type of onion to every dish. White onions, I only like caramelized. But, green onions? Give em' to me crunchy! I've been buying these localy grown onions for some time now and they get slippery quite fast. While searching for a dinner recipe, so I could use them all up before they got damaged, I came across this post. Never in a million years would I have thought that a glass of water was all it took to keep them pretty and also... regrow them! Yep. Use them up but save the roots. Place them in a glass of water next to your window and like magic, they regrow. It's been only three days since I placed my all white roots in the glass. Look how green and long they've grown! I can't wait till they get long and ready to munch on again.

Print & Hat

Print: In need of some wall decoration, my etsy loving self browsed through a a couple hundred prints to find the perfect one. THIS my friends, is the print that will be gracing my living room. I love the fact that it's a photo of a sculpture that says "the words don't fit the picture" and [rightfully so] the words in the photo, don't fit the picture! So clever. Hat: I am a hat lover. I said it! I can add hats to almost any outfit and be the happiest person. Great for a bad hair day and doesn't it look amazing with a button up blouse? Gives it that Annie Hall look... and have I mentioned that I love me some Annie Hall?

It's been quite the week. 9am to 9pm days with tons of new projects poppin' up... But, I am beyond thrilled about all this 'newness'. I've been keeping up with the vegan lunchbox [a project my mind started this week] and I am actually enjoying it. On mondays, I prep all my veggies and get them to roast. That way, it's easier for me to pack lunch. Took the idea from this lovely video and I haven't looked back. Other links on my mind? Here they are:

Remade: Honey Cooler Handmade

There's nothing that I like more than pieces inspired by the past. I call them 'remakes' because even though they have a modern take, it makes me takes a step back and envision myself in that era. These pieces by Honey Cooler Handmade do just that. The beautiful silk... The deco camis with their matching 'knickers'... As Miss Stephanie herself says, they're  "a curio cabinet of underpinnings inspired by time long past." Carefully handmade with just the right amount of lace. Although, I wouldn't mind using the bow deco cami up top with some jeans for a night out. Hey, I'd even pair it with these bright emerald green undies...

Sky & Video

SKY: Completely and absolutely obssesed with the sky. The beautiful colors it turns into, the way it changes depending on the location... oh, and 'magic hour'. These sky photos are a very special series by Eric Cahan. He gathered skies from all over. Brazil, New York, California, Costa Rica... and they all came out exceptionally gorgeous. To see the complete series, check it out here. VIDEO: This song has been in my head for days. I'd happily watch the sky with this song on repeat.

This video is so well made I can't believe it only has 34 likes. It celebrates the 25 years of Realtree by giving you a behind the scenes look of how prints get made at Hammerpress. This video was made by Mammoth and let me tell ya' they do know how to make em'. It has a great vintage feel to it and I loved that mini fast forward action at the end. I'm such a sucker for behind the scenes. Specially with something so great as prints. It makes you value the work that is put in so much more...
